<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This point feature class represents the center (not the true centroid) of each tax parcel polygon. The site address information is associated with each point that has a site address. Every point has a PIN (Parcel Identification Number) value. If there are multiple PINS associated with a particular tax parcel, the points are stacked on top of each other. If there are multiple site addresses associated with one PIN, these are stacked on top of each other as well. The points were created by a process that located the approximate center from the polygon feature class.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
This feature class is used as the reference data for two geocoding services, one that can geocode to the PIN number, and one that can geocode to the site address. This feature class is generally not recommended for cartographic purposes.

The original process used to create this file located the centroid of each parcel. However, the mathematical centroid can fall outside of a polygon's boundary. Therefore, a different process was used that would ensure the point would be located inside the polygon boundary. This process did produce some unexpected results, as the center of some parcels is not always located where a person might assume the center should be.

The ParcelAttribute and SiteAddress tables are joined on the PIN values, and the KeyPIN of SiteAddress is calculated to the KeyPIN of ParcelAttribute.
A point feature class of the TaxParcels is created by using the Feature to Point tool (Inside option checked).
The point feature class is joined to the SiteAddress table on KeyPIN, then the XCoord and YCoord fields in SiteAddress are calculated to the values in the point file.
The KeyPIN, XCoord and YCoord fields are added to SiteAddress table that was exported from LAMS.
The Add XY data tool is used to generate points from the XY values in the SiteAddress table, and the resulting data is loaded into an empty schema.
An export is done on Sunday nights from LAMS that contains all of the primary and extra site addresses of all land records (Active and Add Pending).
The TaxParcel feature class and ParcelAttribute table are exported from ArcSDE into a personal geodatabase.
A new field was added to the file (Type), along with any extra site addresses. The extra site addresses have the same PIN as the primary site address, but represent different locations on the PIN (e.g., apartment complexes, strip malls).
The XY coordinates are added to each of the points using the Add XY Coordinate tool.
