<suppInfo>The datum was mis-specified in the metadata and in the GeoTIF tags. The vendor has confirmed that the imagery was collected, processed, and delivered in UTM, NAD83-HARN, but the metadata and GeoTIF headers show it as NAD83(86). The effects of this problem vary depending on both your location (the shifts are not consistent across the region) and the software used. Through most of the region, the shift is between 1 and 3 feet East-West, and less than a foot North-South. Depending on the shift, the software used, and the data available for comparison this offset may or may not be discernible. The USGS developed a set of shifted tiles that position the actual data back in NAD83(86).</suppInfo>

<stepDesc>Orthoimages were created by Sanborn Map Company, Inc. using the proprietary Metro processes. Images were rectified using the DEM and or LIDAR data along with the aerial triangulation solution. Images are mosaicked and colorbalanced using image processing tools developed by Sanborn. The images are then checked for compliance against the contract accuracy standards and corrected where non-compliant. The orthoimagery is cut to their final image file format and naming scheme provided by the USGS. For the county-wide orthoimagery, DEM supplied by USGS was used as the DEM source.</stepDesc>
